Bennetts End Surgery aims to provide its patients with a high quality of care. To this end, we are constantly engaged in activity that seeks to improve the services we offer. We only know how we are doing, however, if we receive feedback from as wide a range of our patients as possible, so if you are interested in having your say, why not join one of our patient groups? Alternatively, please participate in the NHS Friends and Family Test which poses the question: “How likely are you to recommend our service to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?” Comments, compliments and complaints can also be made through the usual channels.
To read about the achievements brought about through Patient Participation, please view the latest report below. A paper-based copy is also available in the Practice for patients to read, should they so wish.
Bennetts End Surgery Patient Participation Group: The Friends of Bennetts End Surgery (F.O.B.E.S)
Since 1986, the Friends of Bennetts End Surgery have been the Practice’s primary providers of patient feedback. As a Patient Participation Group (PPG), they are patient volunteers who give up their free time to run the Tea and Coffee Bar in Reception and attend regular committee meetings with representatives of the Surgery team. Over the years, effective partnership between the F.O.B.ES and the Practice has led to new and improved services to meet identified patient need. For example, in 2008 they worked with the Practice to introduce the first confidential touch screen automatic check-in system for patients and, more recently, they have participated in the Surgery’s work with the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement around the “Productive General Practice”. By facilitating the mapping of a patient’s journey, for instance, they have highlighted areas in which the Surgery team has been able to introduce improvements to its practices and processes. The FOBES are affiliated to the National Association for Patient Participation, set up in 1987. Anyone interested in helping should contact the Practice for further details.

Bennetts End Surgery Patient Reference Group (PRG)
As distinct from the F.O.B.E.S, the Patient Reference Group is intended to be a wider, more “virtual” group from whom the Surgery seeks periodic feedback. All we ask is that members of the Patient Reference Group be willing to fill out a few brief surveys for us — no more than four times a year — in order to give us their perspective on services that we do (or might) provide here at Bennetts End Surgery. If you are happy to do this for us, please let us know by completing the Patient Group Registration Form and either posting it back to us or dropping it in at Reception next time you visit. Thank you very much. Your feedback is invaluable.
